die fetten Jahre sind vorbei
I had NO IDEA until I read it in the Times that writers had
stopped keeping blogs!! Three or four years ago—that’s just when I
started blogging! And now I’m one of the last ones left?? How did this
happen?? When??
I think there was a mass twitter exodus... And I say "think" because that is just my impression- I have no evidence to back it up, really... Still lone blogs, though. There is only so much one can do in 140 characters (or is it now 137?)
I have definitely noticed that some of the blogs I used to read are updated only rarely, because the blogger is mainly writing on Twitter. I don't know, I don't think I could have done justice to the saga of plugless British electrical merchandise, tiny screwdrivers and the archaeologists of the future, in a mere 140 words.
I just realized that the blogs that I have been following for a long time are the ones that I started to follow because you quoted from them.
And plus, 140 characters are nice to state something. But I find it difficult to understand how people find it sufficient to state something without arguing through to it.

I hope you don't stop.
