I haven't read the Narnia books in many years, but I seem to recall that the only real, living characters were the lion, the four kids, and the protagonists of the individual stories. I don't recall the White Witch as seeming real at all. But maybe things are different in the movie version.

I never read The Chronicles of Narnia as a child, nor as an adult.
